The 2025 Middle East (Saudi Arabia) Power and Electrical Equipment Expo will be grandly opened at the Riyadh National Exhibition and Convention Center from September 9th to 11th.
The expo is hosted by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy and the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment and organized by UBM Exhibition Group Support Unit. With the theme of "Innovation-driven, Leading the Future of Electricity", the Expo will focus on cutting-edge technologies and development trends in the power and electrical industry, and build a high-quality platform for display, communication and cooperation for global power and electrical companies.
Saudi Arabia has many advantages in the power and electrical equipment market:
• Policy support advantages: The “Vision 2030” formulated by the Saudi government is committed to promoting the transformation of the energy structure, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and promoting diversified economic development. The government plans to achieve an installed power capacity of 110 GW by 2030. In the next 20 years, the power sector needs to invest US$120 billion in grid construction and equipment upgrades, providing broad development space and policy support for the power and electrical industry.
• Market demand advantage: As a major economic power in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia has a rapidly developing economy. The series of infrastructure projects it has focused on building, such as the six major economic cities, have huge investments and have generated massive demand for electricity. At the same time, Saudi Arabia's population is increasing at a rate of 3% per year. A large amount of new electricity supply will be needed in the next 10 years. The replacement of power transmission and distribution equipment is imminent, and the conventional power equipment market continues to expand.
• Energy resource advantages: Saudi Arabia has abundant solar and wind energy resources and unique lighting conditions. There are also considerable wind energy resources in the eastern Persian Gulf, the western Red Sea coast, and the northwest region. Saudi Arabia aims to achieve a 20% share of solar power generation by 2030, and the market potential for new energy power equipment is huge.
• Geographical advantage: Saudi Arabia is located at an important hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa, and is the core of the Middle East. It is easy to attract exhibitors and professional visitors from all over the world, allowing the exhibition to fully radiate surrounding markets. Companies participating in the exhibition can use Saudi Arabia as a springboard to enter the Middle East market and further expand their international market.
• Advantages of trade environment: Saudi Arabia implements a liberal economic policy and is open to importing equipment. At the same time, Saudi Arabia is one of the countries with the strongest economy and the most stable politics in the Arab world. Foreign-invested enterprises enjoy a 20% income tax, which is one of the countries with the lowest tax burden among the G20 countries. The good trade environment provides convenience for the development of enterprises.
