The 2025 Middle East (Saudi Arabia) Power and Electrical Equipment Expo will be grandly opened at the Riyadh National Exhibition and Convention Center from September 9th to 11th.

The expo is hosted by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy and the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment and organized by UBM Exhibition Group Support Unit. With the theme of "Innovation-driven, leading the future of electricity", it will build a high-quality platform for display, communication and cooperation for global power and electrical companies.

Saudi Arabia has advantages in the power and electrical equipment market, including policy support, market demand, energy resources, geographical location, and trade environment. The following are some cases in the power industry:

• The consortium of EDF and UAE Masdar won the bid for Saudi Arabia’s wind power project: The Renewable Energy Project Development Office under the Saudi Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources announced that the consortium formed by Electricité de France (EDF) and UAE Masdar Company won the bid for Saudi Arabia’s first 400MW wind power project. The project is located in Duma Jandal, Al Jawf Province. The total contract value is US$500 million. Once completed, it will provide electricity to 70,000 Saudi households and 1,000 jobs.

• ACWA Power enters China's renewable energy market: Saudi energy giant ACWA Power is actively expanding its international business and has officially entered the Chinese market. It has invested in more than 1,000 megawatts of renewable energy projects, covering solar photovoltaic and wind energy fields. ACWA Power is working with China Southern Power Grid on wind power projects and has also signed an $800 million wind power development agreement with Guoxuan Energy, with plans to invest up to $50 billion in renewable energy projects in China by 2030.

• Chinese companies participated in the Saudi Arabia Electricity Expo: The Saudi Arabia Power and Electrical Equipment Expo was held at the Riyadh Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 30 Chinese companies participated in the exhibition, showcasing China's technology and products in the field of electric power and electrical engineering, and conducting exchanges and cooperation with companies in Saudi Arabia and other countries.

The exhibition scope of this expo is wide, covering multiple exhibition areas such as one-stop power transmission and distribution equipment, power Internet of Things and power data, power electrical and manufacturing equipment, etc. During the expo, a series of activities will be held, including opening ceremony, exhibition display, technical seminar, business negotiation and closing ceremony.
